Our mission at Kirkville Animal Rescue & Education, Inc. is very simple – we work to help as many animals as possible by providing veterinary care, housing and dietary needs while in our care. We strive to find the appropriate home for any animal able to be placed. We also provide sanctuary for human imprinted non-human primates.
We do not accept any New York state native wildlife.
We go though a lot of stuffed animals! For safety reasons they can not have plastic eyes or bean stuffing. Children’s toys that light up and or play music, climbers and playhouses are all favorites for the monkeys. Visit our Amazon Wishlist if you’d like to send toys directly to KARE Inc. Other items we always need: monetary donations (PayPal is available for ease of donating), gift cards (WalMart, TSC, Lowes, Home Depot). Any of the prepaid credit cards, (Aldis and Runnings) Purina indoor cat only cat food, new brooms and dust pans, dog kennels. Send an email if you have questions about any donation.
Cleaning products we always need, such as vinegar, blue Dawn dish soap, Tide Pods laundry detergent, paper towels, stainless steel scourers, green scrubbers, size large vinyl gloves, towels and wash clothes. All donations help give the animals a better life and home!
Now that fall is here and it is time to clean up the yard for winter, if you find that your kids have outgrown their playhouses, climbers, slides, and or kids plastic picnic tables, we could sure use them here for the monkeys!
The animals that become part of the K.A.R.E. family receive housing, proper diets, enrichment, veterinary care and love. Some stay a few days and some never leave. We are U.S.D.A. licensed as well as N.Y. state licensed. We are also a 501(c)3 non-profit.
